Programs

Children thrive when they are in a supported, caring and loving environment. Our teachers provide a positive, warm, safe and supportive environment. The Newmarket Co-operative Nursery School provides a play-based, child initiated program based on the interests and needs of the individual child. The staff document and observe the children’s play in order to plan and reflect. We invite and encourage parent participation in all aspects of our program.

The Co-op Component

We ask that each family sign up during registration for one job or event during the school year. There are many jobs and events available such as class parties, playdough making, fundraising, school repairs etc. This keeps all families actively involved in their child’s preschool experience. Please note that any participation in classroom activities or field trips involves obtaining a Vulnerable Sector Screen from York Regional Police.
