I have been a part of the Co-op for 29 years since my sons attended. I still love coming to the Co-op each day and working in this fabulous community of  families and educators. I believe we have built the Co-op into a very unique home like childcare setting, where each child is treated with dignity and respect and given unconditional love. I am passionate about supporting  and nurturing the ongoing  connections with our alumni families through camps, high school student volunteers, teen support groups and university summer teachers. #co-opisforever

I started at the Co-op as a part time float in October of 2018, working in both classes. In 2019, I became full-time and spent  mornings upstairs and afternoons downstairs. That summer I completed  my kids yoga teacher training. When we returned in September 2020, after COVID, I became the lead downstairs teacher where I have been ever since! I love working with the downstairs children and being their first impressions of "school". I love social activism, holidays, gardening and incorporating kindness into everything I teach.

I began working as an educator at the Co-op in September 2006. My background is in film/screenwriting. I also offered private home daycare while my daughters were young. I am fortunate to contribute to an environment that focuses on the well being of children through nurturing our connection with each other, yet at the same time respecting each unique personality that exists inside our little school. It is an absolute privilege to watch and assist each child develop at their own pace throughout their time at the Co-op.

I found the Co-op when I was looking for child care for my  daughter. Nothing felt like the right fit for us. We were looking for a place that felt like home, was deeply connected in our local community, and employed educators that provided outstanding care. The minute we stepped into the Co-op we knew this was the place for us and our family.  Although I am the newest addition to the Co-op staff I feel as though I’ve been here forever. Turns out the Co-op was the perfect place, not only for my daughter but for me as well.

My journey at the Co-op began back in 2021 when I began cleaning for the school until I had my daughter. An opportunity presented itself to join  the wonderful team of educators here to assist with day-to-day needs within the school. Working at the school means I get to work with a community. The Co-op has always been so welcoming and a joy to be a part of. To grow alongside both the children and educators in a nurturing child lead environment is an amazing experience. An opportunity hard to pass up. The Co-op is a home.

Danielle: I have been a part of the Co-op since my  Mom worked there and I  came to complete my high school hours.  It was during this experience that I decided that I wanted to work with children. To pursue this, I completed my ECE, BA, and am now completing my B.Ed. I really enjoy building meaningful relationships with the children and their families. It feels great to work in a place that’s been such an important part of my life and continues to inspire me every day.  Jordyn:  I have been with the Co-op for five years now as I am about to finish  my B.Ed. Working at the Co-op has been such an incredible privilege. The genuine care, kindness and incredible sense of community make it a truly special place to learn, grow and support children everyday.
